Colour Creation

Here at Ingilbys we offer a FREE colour
creation service in all of our products.

All colours are created by eye by one of our experienced specialists.

We can colour create with reference to a colour card, piece of plaster or any other material given it is of a reasonable size (1 inch squared as a rough minimum), please note we must have a physical material to use as a reference. ( Please see below)

Due to varied outputs and settings on display devices we cannot ensure a good colour creation from anything on a computer/phone/tablet screen, photo attached via email etc.

It is also worth mentioning that printed colour cards are not always exactly the same as one another so we often request the exact colour card the customer would like the colour created to, this helps increase required colour accuracy.

Please note: The idea of our colour creation service is to offer a product to our customers that is inspired by a new colour, as referenced above, that is not available, or similar to another colour, from our own online colour ranges. It is recommended that colour created orders are for full applications. If you are looking to 'touch in',  'butt up' or the referenced colour is already on site we would recommend you continue with the original supplier.

More often than not the required colour creation has been previously formulated and a recipe exists due to over 30 years of offering the colour creation service, however if the colour creation is new, whether it is new in the desired product or a new colour altogether, a minimum order of 5 Litres is required.

Although we endeavour to colour create any colour requested there are some limitations as to what colours can be achieved in certain products.

We use a range of traditional earth pigments, synthetic pigments and liquid pigments to achieve our colours and there may be a rare occurrence where we cannot guarantee a good commercial creation and we will advise accordingly.

From our 50 years experience, if the colour creation is within the anticipated boundaries that can be achieved with our products and pigments then we will mix it.
